It’s neither flashy nor rushed; instead, there’s an inviting patience that complements the steady, comforting experience of the meal itself.

I was introduced to this restaurant by my cousin, who was a frequent visitor with his family during his childhood. While traveling through the Columbus area, we stopped and had lunch. I since have brought my wife and introduced her to the restaurant. We have concluded it is the best Chinese food we’ve ever had. In particular. I don’t think I’ve ever had in my life, a better eggroll. We both love the spicy mustard and not to take a thing or away from our other food. Fabulous highly recommended.

Fresh (mostly) ingredients but meh taste. I eat a lot of Chinese carryout and thought I would try Ding Ho for the first time when I was driving by on my way home. The eggrolls were large and tasty, probably the best thing. The fried chicken wings had been sealed in a box and they were damp with steam when I got home, tasted OK but just no crispiness. However the Buddha's Delight and Beef Broccoli and Cashew Shrimp were all just bland tasting, more so than about any other Chinese restaurants I've tried. I grew up in Asia and have eaten a lot of Chinese food! The ingredients were fresh and nicely prepared, they just didn't have much flavor or taste. Most disappointing was the cashew shrimp. It was $17.25 (for the "large", which is the same size as any other Chinese carryout container) which I'm OK to pay for a nice dish but I was disappointed that they used tiny pre-frozen shrimp that were tough and overcooked, and, there were very few almonds. No one expects to get those tiny frozen shrimps in a restaurant entre. For their "large" size entrées they provided a small 8 ounce container of rice. I would have preferred getting the standard 16 ounce package of rice that is typically with that size entrée. So, I was not overwhelmed with my first visit. If your ok with (for lack of a better word) americanized Chinese it may be fine. I was hoping to find something a little more authentic and spicy.

Sunday love nch here was very good - good portion sizes, great wait staff, and comfortable seating within a "standard 'Chinese/Cantonese'" themed restaurant. You can choose from seating in the main dining room, seating in the bar area (TVs tuned to sports - since it was a rare Sunday with few regular sports on, it was ESPN Ocho) Lunch was really good. The egg roll I had was hot and crispy - had to break it open to let it cool down a bit. The wife's beef and broccoli was perfectly made with just the right amount of rice. My kung pao chicken was good, but had to add a little hot mustard to it to make it "zippy" enough. All-in-all, $25 for a good meal was very affordable.

We stopped in for lunch and were greeted right away and seated quickly. The service throughout our meal was genuinely excellent—our server was warm, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. The restaurant has a nostalgic, old-school charm with comfortable seating and plenty of parking. However, the restrooms could use some updating and attention. We started with the Hot & Sour Soup and an order of Spare Ribs. The soup had a strong vinegar-forward flavor, but I still enjoyed it and especially liked the fresh scallions on top that added a nice crunch. The spare ribs were tender and meaty, though I personally would have preferred a richer glaze or more seasoning, as they felt a bit light on flavor compared to what I expected. For entrées, my son ordered the Sesame Chicken with steamed rice, which he enjoyed, though the sauce leaned noticeably acidic. I ordered the Wor Sue Gai combination with fried rice and an egg roll, upgrading to white meat. Since this dish is somewhat of a signature here, I was excited to try it. The chicken itself was crisp and well-cooked, but the bright yellow sauce—colored with food dye—was surprisingly mild in flavor. I found myself adding soy sauce to give it more depth. The fried rice also missed the mark for me; it had a sticky texture and didn’t resemble traditional fried rice in flavor or preparation—more like steamed rice lightly tinted. The egg roll had a wonderfully crisp exterior, but the filling was fairly mild and could benefit from more seasoning. The duck sauce on the table, while a nice touch, also leaned heavily vinegar-forward. Important Note for Vegetarians/Vegans: If you are vegetarian or vegan, be aware that many of their sauces and vegetarian dishes are made using chicken broth. There isn’t a straightforward broth substitute available in their kitchen. My daughter, who is vegan, would not have had many options here, so that’s something to keep in mind when visiting. Overall, this is a comfortable and welcoming spot with wonderful staff and classic atmosphere. While some dishes were enjoyable, others lacked the flavor I hoped for. I think it works well for a casual lunch, but based on this visit, it doesn’t quite rise to a five-star experience for me. The standout here is truly the hospitality and warmth of the people who work here.

We ate dinner at Ding Ho’s and it was delicious! I had a bowl of Hot and Sour Soup, two egg rolls, and Cashew Chicken with Fried Rice. My spouse had an egg roll and War Sue Gai. Everything was very good. The egg rolls were the best we’ve ever had. The sweet and sour sauce with hot mustard is a must for me and these egg rolls did not disappoint! Our server was courteous and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was inviting and clean. We will definitely be returning soon!!

The wonton soup is a must. The sweet and sour chicken was superb, too. The restaurant felt very clean to me, and our waitress was very kind. She checked on me a couple of times while I waited for my friend to arrive which was an added bonus. I went around 2 o'clock on Saturday, so the service was very quick. My friend an I also got some of their egg rolls and you can tell they are homemade. They were pretty big. I recommend going during odd hours- makes it easier to get in and get out (the parking lot doesn't have a traffic light one can depend on if you need to make a left turn out of there). I did spend about $25 including tip, but there are lunch specials available to make the price cheaper.
